About General Surgery

The Institute of General Surgery offers a DNB (General Surgery) program, admitting aspiring surgeons each year. The postgraduate students have a rigorous training schedule, which includes an intense academic program, patient management for all types of surgeries with considerable co-morbidities and mandatory research activities. The institute also imparts short term in-house training on request to
foreign students from across the world.

The faculty is active on the academic front, travelling all over the country as well as abroad to participate in conferences and surgical workshops, learning and mastering the recent trends in the world. Members of the faculty also speak on various topics related to surgery and surgical
